Data that stays on your device

Serenade does not require an account. Mixes, sound volumes, timer preferences and language choices are saved locally. The app does not request microphone, contacts, location, HealthKit or advertising tracking access. It does not upload saved mixes or listening history. Device-level backups, if enabled, are managed by your operating system.

Playback and lock timer

The app uses audio playback state, system lock signals where available, and an on-device timer to manage playback. These signals are not used to infer sleep quality, health status or activity in other apps, and are not sent to our server.

Update checks and the website

The release version retrieves a public version list from xiaoyequ.app when checking for updates. This request does not include your saved mixes, listening history, account identifier or advertising identifier. Network delivery necessarily involves an IP address and technical request information such as the requested path, request time, client software and response status.

The website uses Cloudflare for delivery, security and web analytics, and a hosted Nginx server. Cloudflare adds a web analytics script to measure page visits and page performance when you open website pages. This website measurement does not read your saved mixes or listening history from the app. Their delivery, security and access logs may retain technical request data. These technical records are used to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the service. They can identify a network connection and are not anonymised before all logging. They are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

When you email support

If you choose to contact us, your email address, message and any attachments are processed to answer your request. Please send only what is needed and remove unrelated personal information. Email is handled using Gmail; your own email provider and Google may process the message under their terms and privacy policies.

Advertising and tracking

The current app includes no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, purchases or account registration. We do not use your saved mixes or listening history for advertising, sell them, or track you across other apps.

Retention

On-device data remains until you delete it or remove the app, subject to system backups. The origin server currently has no fixed automatic access-log deletion schedule: its logs remain until manually reviewed and removed by the operator. Cloudflare applies its own retention rules. Support correspondence remains in the mailbox until manually deleted; information may be retained longer to resolve an open issue, investigate abuse or comply with legal obligations. Contact us about information we can identify and control. Third-party service records may follow different retention rules.

Your choices

You may delete saved mixes in the app. Deleting the app may remove local data. Contact the email above for questions or requests concerning support correspondence or other personal data processed by the operator. We may need enough information to locate and verify a request without asking for unnecessary data.

Children, changes and international processing

The app is a general-audience sound player and does not ask users to provide a birth date or create an account. The website and support service may process information outside your country through their service providers. Material changes to this policy will be reflected here with an updated effective date before they apply.
